Latest Window and Blind Trends 2

Every year, experts from around the world come up with predictions for the latest and hottest trends in fashion, interior design, and beauty. What you may not realize is that window treatments also follow certain trends which can change from time to time. To help you stay abreast of the latest and greatest window covering products, here are some of the current trends for 2023.

Cordless Blinds

Traditionally, blinds have always been operated using cords, and so it has been for decades. While these blinds are perfectly fine, cordless blinds are beginning to become very popular. As the name implies, there are no cords hanging down, as the blinds are operated with a simple mechanism and are raised or lowered by hand.

Zebra Shades

Zebra shades are a variation on the traditional roller window shades. If you want privacy, you simply pull them down to the closed position. If you want some light from outside, you swing them to the open position and there you have it!

Roller/Solar Shades

Roller shades are nothing new, but they’ve recently had a resurgence of popularity. They’re available in just about any color you might want, they’re easy to use, and they’re easy to keep clean.  In addition to the various colors available, they come in a number of different materials.  Some of the materials block light out completely, while others are more opaque.

Solar shades are roller shades that are made of special materials that allow light to come through, but they block harmful UV rays.

Motorized Blinds

Like cordless blinds, these blinds are designed to open and close without cords or strings. What’s different about these blinds is that have small motors that raise or lower the blinds at the touch of a button on the shade or via a remote control.
