When it came time to put window coverings in their model home, we knew it was important to bring natural light into the room and and emphasis to accents throughout the house. We chose a few different Hunter Douglas shades, including Provenance® Woven Woods, Vignette® Roman Shades, and Designer Screen Shades.

Provenance® Woven Woods

In the kitchen and bedrooms we wanted to have a decorative look with open shades and have full light and privacy control with closed shades. Woven wood shades provide a beautiful decorative look to any window and bring out the tones of the wood floor very nicely. They also are available with a room darkening liner perfect to darken bedrooms.

Designer Screen Shades

The office and garage of this Castle Rock home have huge windows that bring in a ton of natural light. We didn’t want to cover any of these windows, but we did want some added privacy and temperature control in these rooms. To achieve this, we used designer screen shades. These shades are a roller shade, but have a transparent fabric that blocks uv rays while leaving the view to the outside unobstructed. hunter Douglas screen shades

 

Vignette® Roman Shades

One of the bedrooms was staged for a young girl in this home and a woven wood shade just didn’t fit the room. We instead decided to use a roman shade to get the teardrop look and it turned out beautifully.

The Result

Even though we combined three different Hunter Douglas shades in this Castle Rock home, the entire home flows very well and every room looks complete. This is a new trend we have been seeing.
